70s Flare

Hello, dears! Things have been a bit upside down the past few days (I'll explain further down), so today's outfit is actually from a while ago. And kind of not vintage at all, other than the 1970s feel to it. And I do sometimes like to drift into the 1970s. (blame it on the hair) The point is, I've been wearing these jeans a fair bit lately. I thrifted them earlier this year and they have kind of been fitting the bill lately, with all of our weird flippant not-summer-but-not-fall weather we've been having here. I bought them mainly because they do have a pretty good vintage shape to them, even though they were originally from Old Navy, of all places.

Eyelet Shirt - Thrifted
Wide Leg Jeans - Thrifted
Bag - H&M

Shoes - Target

Green Bracelet - Flea Market

It's funny, I wear jeans so rarely that when I do, people tend to stop and look at me funny before they exclaim, "I don't think I've ever seen you in jeans!". Ha.

In other news, I just wanted to let you all know that things may (or may not) be quiet around here for the next few days. P's grandmother passed away over the weekend, so we are getting ready to head down to New Orleans in a few days to spend time with his family. We kind of have been expecting to make this trip for a couple of months now, but we still have a lot on our plate so I don't know if I'll be able to post. If I do, then, well, you'll know! Otherwise, I'll be back next week.

Take care, dears!

  1. Sorry to hear about P's grandma. Losing a loved one is the hardest thing.

On a brighter note, you have such a cool blog! Your hair is amazing and I love the way you twisted it! Loving the flared jeans as well. Its spring in Australia now and lots of people are rocking the 70s look!
